Salmonella and Cyclospora outbreaks in the US

Multiple brands of pre-packaged, processed foods and eggs have been recalled due to concerns of bacteria infection (Salmonella, E Coli, Cyclospora). Over the past few weeks weeks in the US, dozens of people have gotten sick, hospitalized and a few have died due to infections received from consuming contaminated food.

Food manufacturers are being reactive and preventative, by recalling products that they believe could be contaminated. See the following articles for more details:
